We welcome you to Tinos, the island of art and culture, of peace, tranquility and relaxation, of faith and fun.
Tinos is the third largest island of the Cyclades, spread across 197 sq. klm.
Every year, Tinos is a meeting place for thousands of pilgrims who converge to worship the Holy icon of the Virgin Mary, which is said to have the ability to perform miracles. This constitutes one of the focal points of Christianity, with pilgrims offering their hopes and desires to the Virgin Mary.
Tinos View-Tiniako Panorama is a place where one comes to relax, to rest and to enjoy dreamy sunsets, the rare beauty of the nearby traditional villages and to discover one’s own magical stretch of beach.
One can also walk the old tiled, pebbled road to the Church of the Virgin Mary and to enjoy the culinary delights offered by little taverns graphically situated next to the sea.
Walking into houses where world renowned artists such as Halepas and Gyzis were born and raised is also an option, situated in the villages of Pyrgo and Sklavoxorio; our visitors also have the opportunity to marvel at the museum of Tinian Artist and the Gallery of the Holly Pilgrimage to the Virgin Mary.
The island also hosts a thousand smaller chapels, tens of which can be visited in person and the area is also rich with folk art and pigeon houses, famous for their architectural style, amongst other things.
